The mission of the Philip Thomas Leigh Foundation (non-profit 501c3) is to raise awareness and promote education about prostate cancer. We believe that early detection is crucial in the fight against this disease, and our aim is to empower individuals with the knowledge and resources necessary for early identification and effective treatment. Through our efforts, we strive to support and advocate for those affected by prostate cancer while working towards a future where this disease no longer poses a threat to men's health and well-being. Joseph James Hall's grandfather was his buddy, who loved to laugh and tell jokes. Mr. Leigh was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer yet lived to be 93 due to early detection. After his death, Joseph wanted to honor his grandfather. In 2007 Joseph designed a light blue neck tie logo for Prostate Cancer Awareness and registered it under Philip Thomas Leigh to promote Prostate Cancer Awareness in the month of September. The goal is to have the Blue Tie become a globally recognized symbol like the Pink Breast Cancer Awareness ribbon. Prostate cancer is deadlier in men of color than any other race of men. The foundations mission is to help men past their fears of getting checked because early detection is key in order to beat it!
